We know this has been a trying time for many of us. Our District is proposing remote meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic to keep us connected to our community.
This Friday, March 20, at 5:00 pm we will have a zoom meeting. We will discuss the goal of reaching a consensus on using the zoom platform to keep our meetings available remotely. We do not anticipate this meeting requiring more than 30 minutes. We will start promptly at 5pm, thus please read the directions about using zoom and test it prior to our meeting.
There is no need to RSVP, we are hoping as many of you can join us as we want to provide a tool for our autonomous groups.
For those who cannot attend, we will send out an email with the group conscience decision.

For those of you who have not used Zoom before, here are the instructions.
You have three ways to connect:
Zoom is best used by a computer with or without a camera, but you can connect via ipad or phone
1. Go to https://ucsb.zoom.us/j/8587742455 you will be prompted to download some files or some patches, and permission to access your camera & audio in order to work.
2. The program will "grab" your name from your computer, so you will need to click on your name in the small window, should you want to remove your last name - if you are already IN the call, use the three horizontal blue dots in your small picture upper right-hand side (hover to see), once it is up to "rename". If not, you may be asked to provide your name, please use first name and last initial or last name "Alan" (as in Alanon). You may also be asked to use your internal microphone, allow access so we can hear you.
If you connect early or to test it, you may be placed in a waiting room if the room is "not open" If you are on a phone or ipad, you may not be able to see EVERYONE in the room and may have to 'swipe' to see the speaker, so it is best to be on a computer with a camera. If no camera available, you can still join audio and see others (they just can't see you).
Please mute your mic if you are in a noisy background so we can hear everyone. If and when you want to speak, unmute your mic
If not computer, or prefer to use audio-only, you may call in dial 301.715.8592 Meeting ID: 858.774.2455#, no passcode, so # again. You may be placed in a waiting room until the room is 'open'. By default, the number you call from will show up to those of us on video in place of your name. If this is an issue for some, I can go in and remove it.
Please text me (Mala - 858.774.2455) if you have any issues. If you want to test out the zoom and download anything BEFORE the call, I will not be using my zoom room during the day today or tomorrow but WILL be using it tonight (8pm - 11pm) and tomorrow night (6pm - 8pm). PLEASE do not test during those times.
