The monthly District 8 meeting is largely made up of Group Representatives from the 20 or so Al-Anon Family Groups that meet each week in the Santa Barbara area. Group Representatives, and other trusted servants who participate at the district level, are in service for the members of Al-Anon in Santa Barbara.

All Al-Anon members are welcome to participate in the monthly district meetings. The district meets to coordinate services for groups and members in observation of Tradition One, “Our common welfare should come first; personal progress for the greatest number depends upon unity.”

As part of outreach to members who may not be able to attend the District 8 meetings, the district would like to extend an invitation to all of its members to share your comments, suggestions, observations and concerns.

Comments from this web form are sent directly to the District 8 Secretary. Your comments may be anonymous or not. The decision is yours. These comments will be discussed during the district meetings. Any actions taken by the district, or not, will be spiritual in nature and conjunction with Tradition Two, “For our group purpose there is but one authority - a loving God as He may express Himself in our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants - they do not govern.”
